Its biology and the host-parasite-relationship have been investigated in the HAMburg-CAMeraria-Project (www.cameraria.galk.de), the results are presented in this video. The following topics are described in detail: the single developmental stages of the horse chestnut leafminer (egg, larval stages, spin larva spinning a "cocoon", pupa and imagines); damage to chestnut trees by larvae feeding on chestnut leaves; determination of the population density, population dynamics and the control of the moth. The video contains several REM shots which reveal morphological details of the developmental stages of Cameraria ohridella as well as microscopic shots. |
