Description:	The annelid Platynereis dumerilii (Polychaeta) lives at the coasts of Western and Southern Europe. In culture, full-grown specimens are 3 - 4cm long and have a lifespan of 7 months in average. Platynereis dumerilii can be permanently bred in the laboratory. This is the reason why this species has become a relevant experimental animal (www.platynereis.de). The DVD gives a comprehensive introduction of the annelid in 34 short sequences.
